Centre for regional history

At the Center for Regional History, you will discover a large collection of our region's cultural heritage. It is the legacy of our ancestors, their stories, their language, their customs. This heritage has local regional value and forms the memory of our town. It teaches us to know the people and our own region better: the people, trade, businesses, hospitality, prosperity, club life, cultural life, schools, political backgrounds ... Discover a crazy heritage collection, which consists of two major parts.

Documentation Department

On the one hand, there is the documentation section, formed mainly by donations from individuals, families, associations, companies and organizations. Delve into the past thanks to thousands of photographs and postcards, posters, election printing, maps, obituaries and prayer cards...

Library

On the other hand, there is the library, which supports research and contains more than 7,000 publications and reference works about our region. A nice series of historical and local periodicals complete this collection.

The publications and documents can be consulted free of charge. No material is lent out; copies (analog or digital) can be taken on site (for a fee).
