The Heroes’ Monument

This expressive statue was created by sculptor Jules Vits and was inaugurated with great pomp on September 25th 1921. The monument commemorates the victims of the Great War. Each year on November 11th the city of Zottegem organises a ceremony to commemorate the victims of both World Wars.
